By accessing or using TVCP, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.


1. What TVCP Is

TVCP is a parental-control service designed to help parents and guardians manage access to Android TV / Google TV devices using a companion mobile application ("TVCP Guardian") on iOS and Android.

TVCP consists of:

  • A TV app installed on the supported TV device, and
  • A phone app ("TVCP Guardian") used to manage controls remotely.

2. Eligibility and Account Responsibility

By using TVCP, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority where you live), and
  • You are the parent/legal guardian, or otherwise legally authorized to manage the TV device and the child profile(s) you set up.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your device access, PINs, and any credentials used with TVCP.


3. Features, Availability, and Changes

TVCP may include features such as remote TV lock, app blocking, and a sleep timer. Some features may be released gradually, may vary by device, region, OS version, or plan, and may be offered as beta/preview features.

We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. If a change materially reduces core paid functionality, we will make reasonable efforts to inform users in advance.


4. Free Feature: Sleep Timer

The TV sleep timer may be offered as a free feature. "Free" means no subscription fee is required for that feature, but an internet connection and compatible devices/software may still be required.


5. Subscriptions, Free Trials, and Billing

5.1 Subscription Plans

Some features (for example, remote TV lock and app blocking) require an active subscription ("Subscription"). Subscription options may include monthly and yearly plans.

5.2 7-Day Free Trial (Eligible New Subscribers)

Eligible new subscribers may receive a 7-day free trial on monthly and/or yearly plans. Eligibility is determined by the App Store / Google Play and may not be available if you have previously used a trial, had an active subscription, or are otherwise ineligible.

5.3 Auto-Renewal

Unless you cancel before the end of the trial or current billing period, your Subscription will automatically renew and you will be charged the applicable fee through your Apple App Store or Google Play account.

5.4 Managing and Canceling Your Subscription

You can manage or cancel your Subscription at any time through your platform account settings:

  • Apple (iOS): Apple ID → Subscriptions
  • Google Play (Android): Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions

Canceling stops future renewals. You typically retain access until the end of the paid period (or trial period).

5.5 Pricing and Taxes

Prices may vary by country/region and may be shown in local currency. Taxes (such as VAT/GST) may be included where required by local law. The final price is shown to you in the App Store / Google Play before purchase.


6. Refunds

Purchases made through Apple's App Store or Google Play are generally subject to the refund rules of those platforms. We cannot directly issue refunds for App Store transactions and may have limited ability to refund Google Play transactions depending on circumstances.

If you believe you were charged in error or have a billing issue, contact us at hello@middlepoint.io and we will help you resolve it and guide you through the appropriate platform process.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you may have under applicable law.


7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use TVCP to monitor or control devices you do not own or have permission to manage,
  • Attempt to bypass, disable, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service,
  • Use TVCP for unlawful, harmful, abusive, or deceptive purposes, or
  • Misuse any reporting or activity functionality to violate privacy or laws.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you are violating these Terms.


8. Third-Party Services and Platform Dependence

TVCP relies on third-party platforms and services (including device manufacturers, operating systems, Apple App Store, Google Play, and network providers). We are not responsible for outages or changes in those services that affect TVCP's availability or functionality.


9. Privacy

Your use of TVCP is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

As described in our Privacy Policy, we do not sell personal data, use personal data for advertising, or engage in cross-app behavioral tracking. Data collected from managed TV devices (such as installed application names) is used exclusively to provide parental control functionality.

If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy, these Terms control for the Service rules and the Privacy Policy controls for personal data handling.


10. Disclaimers

TVCP is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we aim to provide reliable controls, we do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation,
  • That TV controls will always work on every device or configuration,
  • That TVCP will prevent all unwanted viewing or screen-time conflicts.

You are responsible for setting appropriate household rules and supervising use as needed.


11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MiddlePoint will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of (or inability to use) TVCP.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our liability will be limited to the amount you paid for the Subscription in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or the minimum permitted by law, if lower).

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.


12. Termination

You may stop using TVCP at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service, users, or third parties.

If your Subscription is canceled, your paid access ends at the end of the current billing period (or trial), unless otherwise required by platform rules.


13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, via the website or in-app notice). Continued use of TVCP after the effective date of updated Terms means you accept the updated Terms.


14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Barcelona, Spain will have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence require otherwise.
